Coach Taylor was a 4 Star athlete, 3x All State selection, and member of the 2010 Dream Team for Football. He attended Highland Park Hs where he was also an All State sprinter in track & field. Taylor attended University of Michigan and was an outstanding defensive-back 3 year starter, finishing with 6 interceptions, 171 tackles and hosts of pass deflections. After UofM, Taylor played for multiple NFL teams including the Indianapolis Colts & the Houston Texans and also two years in the CFL with Montreal Alouettes. Coach Taylor helped coach Bellevile HS to their first State title in 2021. Founder of Total Coverage Academy.
Assistant Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator (LB)
Coach Joe Mach is entering his 18th year of both teaching and coaching at Detroit Catholic Central as well as his 13th season as a varsity assistant. This is his 8th season as coordinator of the "Brick Wall Defense.” Mach was named as a 2024 Assistant Coach of The Year by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA). He is a graduate of CC from the class of 2003 and was a member of the 2001 and 2002 State Championship football teams. Prior to coaching at CC, Mach attended The University of Michigan. During his time at U of M, he held a position as an undergraduate assistant to Offensive Coordinator Terry Malone (CC class of '78) while earning his B.S. in Physical Education. Mach returned to CC in the fall of 2008. A native of Redford, he and his wife Elizabeth now reside in Livonia. They have two sons, Joshua and Anthony, and a daughter, Anastasia. Joe is the son of former Head Football Coach Tom Mach and the brother of fellow Assistant Football Coach Mike Mach. Find me on X: @JMachDCC
